Namkeen Sewai

Good morning friends
Whenever sewai comes in our mind we assume something would be sweet but today I want to lift that assumption and have brought a breakfast for you all which is made of sewai but not sweet. Infact you will find this breakfast tasty and healthy at par. So let's start the cooking.

Ingredients
1. Sewai (Vermicelli) - 200gm
2. Onion - 1 no. Medium size chopped
3. Tomato- 1 no. Medium size chopped
4. Capsicum - 1 no. Small chopped
5. Carrot -1 no. Chopped 
6. Cabbage in small amount- Chopped
7. Peanuts 20-25 nos.(Optional)
8. Refined oil 2 tbsp
9. Curry leaves for seasoning
10. Small mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
11. Salt to taste
12. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
13. Green chillies 2 nos chopped
Method

Step 1: Turn on the stove and Boil the sewai in water till the sewai tenderises. Take out boiled sewai on a plate and drain the water .
Step 2: Now put a pan on the stove , add refined oil and fry the peanuts for 2 minutes and keep them aside.
Step 3: In the same pan and oil, add small mustard seeds,curry leaves, chopped green chillies and chopped onions. Cook them on medium flame till the onions get translucent.
Step 4: Now add chopped capsicum, carrot, tomato and cabbage. Cook the veggies for 5 minutes on medium flame.
Step 5: Now add salt and red chillies and mix them well.
Step 6. Then add boiled sewai, put the lid on and keep the flame low. Cook the sewai with all veggies and other ingredients for 5 minutes.Don't forget to stir occasionally in the meantime.
Step 7: After that add the fried peanuts and turn the stove off.

Namkeen Sevai is ready!
