Hummus
Recipe of Hummus
1. Chick peas(Chhola or Kabuli Chana)1.5 Cup Soaked for 8 hours
2. White Sesame Seeds-2 tbsp
3. Olive oil as required
4. Garlic cloves- 5 nos.
5. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
6. Cumin seed Powder - 1 tsp
7. Salt to taste
Method
Step 1: Boil the soaked chick peas with water in pressure cooker till 6-7 whistles.
Step 2: Put a pan on the stove and dry roastthe white sesame seeds on low flame for 30 seconds.
Step 3: Take a grinding jar and grind the roasted sesame seeds with 1 tbsp olive oil in a fine paste.
Step 4: Now take out the boiled chick peas from pressure cooker and transfer it to grinding jar. In that jar ,also add garlic cloves, lemon juice,sesame seed paste( of step 3), cumin seed Powder,salt and 1 tbsp olive oil and grind all these to a thick fine paste by adding water stock of chick peas time to time in small quantity .
Step 5: Now take out the paste and garnish it with red chilli powder, olive oil and some whole chick peas.
