Lemon Rice
Ingredients for 4 Persons
1: Rice
2. Chana Dal 1 tsp soaked in water for 1 hour
3. Urad Dal 1 tsp soaked in water for 1 hour
4. Salt to taste
5. Lemon juice of 3 lemons
6. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
7. Ghee or refined oil 3 tbps
8. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
9. Curry leaves
10. Dry red Chilli 2 nos. Small
11. Green chillies 3 nos. Chopped
11. Ginger Garlic chopped
Method :
Step 1 : Cook the Rice with salt as per taste in pressure cooker.
Step 2: Turn on the stove and put a deep vessel on it.
Step 3: Add ghee or refined oil in it and let it heat up.
Step 4: Keep the flame low and add mustard seeds,chopped green chillies, dry Chillies,Chana Dal and urad dal. After few seconds add curry leaves, turmeric powder and chopped ginger garlic. Keep Stirring all for 30 seconds.
Step 5: After this add all cooked rice in it and then pour lemon juice over the rice.
Step 6: Mix them well for 1-2 minutes and then turn off the stove.
Your Lemon Rice is ready. You can enjoy without or with Rasam
