Rawa Upama

Ingredients - for 3-4 Persons
1. Rawa (Semolina)150gm
2. Chopped Onions 1no. big
3. Green chillies 2 nos. Slitted
4. Ginger 1 inch grated
5. Peanuts 12-15 nos .
6. Curry leaves
7. Chana Dal  1 tsp
8. Urad Dal. 1 tsp
9. Jeera 1/2 tsp
10. Mustard seeds  1/2 tsp
11. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
12. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
13. Salt to taste.
14. Refined Oil     3 tablespoon
15. Water 
16. Lemon juice 
17. Chopped Tomato 1no. big
Method

Step 1. Turn on the stove put a pan on it . Dry Roast the Rawa on low flame for 3-4 minutes. Ensure that colour of Rawa must not change. While roasting the Rawa keep stirring it with spatula. After roasting, Immediately  transfer the Rawa to plate.
Step 2. Add oil to the pan and fry the peanuts on low flame till it turns brown and transfer it to small bowl.
Step 3. Now in the same oil add urad daal and Chana daal and fry them on low flame till it turns brown.
Step 4. Add jeera and mustard seeds to the same oil and let it crackle. As soon as it starts crackle, add curry leaves and then chopped onions, grated ginger and slitted green chillies to it . Cook them till the onions get translucent on low flame ( do not turn onions brown)
Step 5. Now add the tomatoes and thereafter add turmeric powder, salt and red chilli powder and mix them well. Close the pan with its lid and let them cook on low flame till the tomatoes get soft.
Step 6. Open the lid and add 1 1/2 (one and half) glass water to it .Let the water boil on medium flame.
Step 7. As soon as water starts boiling,low down the flame and add the Roasted Rawa slowly while keep stirring it to avoid formation of any lump.
Step 8. Now close the pan and cook it for 3-4 minutes on low flame. Keep stirring occasionally.
Step 9. Turn the stove off and add fried peanuts. Your Rawa Upama is Ready.
Tips and Tricks: In addition ,You can also add more vegetables like carrot, green peas , beans etc. I have used only onions and tomatoes because in the situation of  lockdown due to outbreak of COVID-19 these vegetables are not available in my home. I do not go to the market frequently in this situation.
