Instant Rawa Uttapam-Breakfast
Ingredients: for 2 persons
1. Rawa (Semolina) 1 Bowl
2. Curd. 1 Bowl
3. Salt to taste
4. Onion 1 medium size chopped
5. Capsicum. 1 medium size chopped
6. Tomatoes 1 medium size chopped and remove pulp
7. Green Chillies. 2 nos. Chopped
Carrot, beans may also be added if available.
8. Water as per requirement for making batter
9. Refined Oil
Method:
Step 1: Mix Rawa and Curd in a bowl and after mixing leave it for 15-20 minutes.
Step 2: After step 1 add salt to taste to the mixture.
Step 3: Now add little water and make a semi thick batter.
Step 4: Now add green chillies and half of chopped capsicum to it.
Step 5. Now turn on the stove put a pan on it and heat it up. After this keep the flame low and add little of oil to the pan
Step 6: Add 1 full of ladle of batter to the pan , spread on it and sprinkle some onion, tomato and capsicum on it and press them gently with the spatula.Close the pan with lid and cook it for 2 minutes.
Step 7: After 2 minutes add few drops of oil on the upper surface and flip it to the other side. Close the pan with lid and cook it for 2 minutes.
Note: Press the upper surface occasionally while cooking and Cook both the surface till it gets light brown.
For children cheese can also be added as topping
Your Instant Rawa Uttapam is ready. Enjoy with the peanut chutney.
