Achaar-e- Murgh
In most of the indian houses Chicken is made with desi spices. Here I have brought a twist in this desi chicken meal that you may have never tasted before. Achaar (Pickle) is a kind of add on that we always want to club with all food to enhance the taste. Now here I am going to use the spices of Achaar in cooking a chicken meal that will give you the taste that you are always longing for. So Here we go...
Ingredients:
1. Chicken 500 Grams
2. 3 medium sized onions
3. Panchphoran spice 2 tbsp
4. Tomato 2 medium sized
5. Ginger Garlic 2 tbsp
6. Green chilli 3-4
7. Curd 1Cup
8. Salt to Taste
9. Curry leaves
10. Mustard Oil as per requirement
11. Kashmiri Red chilli 1 tbsp
12. Haldi powder 1/2 teaspoon
13. Mustard Seed 1 tea spoon
14. Chicken Masala 1 tbsp of any brand
First, lets start the preparation of Panchphoran (a combination of five spices) Spice
To make the spice
Take fennel seeds 1 teaspoons, Nigella(Kalonji)half teaspoon, Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon, Coariander seeds 1tbsp, Fenugreek seeds(Methi) 1/2 teaspoon and 2 red chillies
Roast all these spices and grind all these spices finely in grinder.
Wash the chicken pieces and add the curd turmeric powder, Ground panchphoran spice (a combination of five spices) and Ginger Garlic Paste. Mix them well and Keep it aside for half an hour
Step 1. Put a pan on the stove and add the mustard oil( you can use refined oil in place of mustard oil). Let it heat up.
Step 2. Add Curry leaves and mustard seeds as tadka
Step 3. Add chopped green chilli and then chopped onion till it become golden brown
Step 5: Add the marinated chicken in it ,mix it well,add Kashmiri chilli powder and cook it till the chicken leaves the water
Step 7: Add water as per the gravy you need, Cover the pan with lid and cook till chicken tenderises
Step 8: After chicken gets tender dish out the Achaar- e -Chicken in the bowl and Serve with Chapatis and Jeera/Plain Rice.
